DETAILS:
On 2-23-14, at approximately 1928 hours, officers responded to an attempted robbery at the Guadalajara Cafe located in the 100 Block of North Hayes Avenue. The 26-year old victim told officers that two subjects entered the bar and demanded the victim’s wallet at gunpoint. The victim fought back and several other patrons assisted the victim. The two suspects fled the bar and were last seen running southbound on Hayes Avenue towards First Street. The victim sustained only minor injuries as a result of this incident.
Moments later, officers responded to the area of Cooper Road and Bonita Avenue reference two assault victims. Two juvenile subjects were located and contacted at that location. Officers and EMS treated the juveniles for their injuries and transported them to a local hospital for treatment. The two injured juveniles are suspects in this attempted robbery.
The investigation is on-going.
