DETALLES: (Oxnard, California) – An Oxnard man was found in possession of a sawed-off shotgun after fleeing from officers.

El miércoles, 10/15/17 en 7:19 p.m. Oxnard police officers stopped a white BMW for multiple traffic violations at the intersection of Rose Avenue and Santa Lucia Avenue, and the right front passenger fled from the car.

Officers ran after the suspect and the foot chase ended in the backyard of a house on Eliza Court. El sospechoso, 19 year-old Cesar Guerrero was in possession of a sawed-off shotgun. He had shotgun shells in his pants’ pocket and had discarded black gloves.

Guerrero had felony arrest warrants and was arrested on charges that included a felon in possession of a firearm and resisting/obstructing police.

DETALLES: En noviembre 15, 2017, en 6:00 al, The Oxnard Police Department’s Special Enforcement Unit (SU), Unidad de Crímenes Violentos (VCU), K-9 Unit and Neighborhood Policing Team served two search warrants at two separate locations. The warrants are in response to a shooting that accrued in October 2017, en el 2800 block of San Marino Street, Oxnard. Investigators from the Violent Crimes Unit identified Ramirez as the shooter. Ramirez was arrested and booked into county jail on charges of Assault with a Deadly weapon (arma de fuego).

Investigators are once again seeking the public’s help in providing any information related to the senseless murder of Labh Nigah. DETALLES: En noviembre 12, 2017, en 6:30 pm, Oxnard police officers located Salinas driving in the area of north Oxnard. Salinas, who is wanted on felony charges for driving a stolen vehicle, fled from the officers when the officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop. Salinas failed to yield and a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit covered several areas of north Oxnard, before leaving the city traveling south on the 101 Autopista. Por último, the pursuit culminated in the City of Camarillo when Salinas struck another vehicle at the intersection of Arneill Road at Pondarosa Drive, rendering both vehicles inoperable. Salinas fled from the vehicle he was driving and was quickly taken into custody by Oxnard police officers. The driver of the vehicle Salinas struck sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Salinas also sustained minor injuries and was treated at a local hospital and later booked into county jail on felony charges of evading and hit and run causing injury. The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office investigated and completed the Collison report.

After the initial collision Canizalez’s motorcycle was struck by a 2016 Chevrolet Cruz that was traveling northbound on Oxnard Blvd. Neither the 17-year-old driver of the Hyundai nor the driver of the Chevrolet were injured. Canizalez was transported to the Ventura County Medical Center and is listed in critical condition. It is unknown at this time whether drugs or alcohol were involved. The collision is under investigation.

En noviembre 10, 2017, en aproximadamente 7:56 p.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department and EMS personnel responded to an injury traffic collision involving a motorcyclist at the intersection of Oxnard Blvd. and Seventh St. Cuando llegaron los agentes, they determined that 30-year-old Oxnard resident, Victor Canizalez, was traveling northbound on Oxnard Blvd. on a 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle. Canizalez collided with a 2003 Hyundai Sonata driven by a 17-year-old female that was traveling southbound on Oxnard Blvd. when the female driver attempted to make a left-hand turn onto Seventh St. Canizalez was thrown from his motorcycle and suffered serious injuries. After the initial collision Canizalez’s motorcycle was struck by a 2016 Chevrolet Cruz that was traveling northbound on Oxnard Blvd. Neither the 17-year-old driver of the Hyundai nor the driver of the Chevrolet was injured. En noviembre 8, 2017, en aproximadamente 7:45 p.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department Neighborhood Policing Team (NPT) and detectives from the Oxnard Police Department Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) were conducting high visibility enforcement in the area of 1470 Camino de colonia, en Oxnard. Officers contacted a group of juveniles they observed smoking marijuana in a parked vehicle.

Upon contacting the group, officers learned that one of the subjects was on probation for weapons violations. A probation search of the vehicle produced a loaded .22 calibre. La 14 year old male juvenile was subsequently arrested for “Minor in Possession of a Handgun”.

En noviembre 7, 2017, en aproximadamente 7:50 p.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded to a radio call of a subject disturbing in the 2100 bloque del Norte Ventura carretera.

Officers arrived and detained Flores after he attempted to flee into an apartment complex. Officers found that Flores was in possession of a loaded semi-automatic handgun and narcotics. Flores is a documented gang member and a convicted felon being prohibited from possessing firearms. Flores was arrested for various gun, drug, and gang related charges.

En noviembre 7, 2017, en 7:00pm, Oxnard Police Officers responded to a robbery at the Hacienda Meat Market, 657 S. Ventura Rd.. Upon arrival they discovered the suspect had been disarmed and held by employees. It was determined that the 16 year old male suspect had entered the store and brandished a knife while demanding money from the clerk. It was then that an unidentified customer knocked the knife out of the suspect’s hands with a broom. Store employees then held the suspect down until police arrived.

During the arrest of the suspect, officers found a realistic looking handgun in one of the suspect’s pants pocket. The suspect was arrested and later booked into Juvenile Hall. No one was injured during the incident or arrest of the suspect.

En 11/7/17, en aproximadamente 1028 horas, Oxnard Police and Fire were dispatched to a train accident involving a pedestrian on Fifth St., east of Rose Ave. A la llegada, EMS personnel pronounced the victim on scene.
