DETAILS:
On 3/17/14, at about 1430 hours, Officers from the Oxnard Police Department began investigating criminal a complaint of criminal threats. The victim claimed that the suspect, 18 year old Joseph Gomez, had sent threatening text messages to the victim. Gomez also indicated to the victim that Gomez possessed a handgun.
Officers from the Special Enforcement Unit later located Gomez in the 500 Block of Hobson Way and arrested him for the criminal threats. Officers searched his residence and located and seized a handgun.
