At 2239 hours, Oxnard Police Officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 1800 Block of Napoleon Avenue. Officers arrived on scene and located evidence of a shooting.
A short time later, a call of a shooting victim at St. John’s hospital was received. Officers arrived at the hospital and contacted the victim, Robert Michel (31 years) and additional witnesses. The victim’s injuries were not life threatening.
The suspect vehicle was described as a newer model dark blue Toyota Corolla or Tercel with tinted windows, driven by a Hispanic male with a goatee, and red hat. It was unknown if there were additional occupants.
