On April 22, 2018, officers stopped a vehicle shortly before 1:30 a.m. Sunday at Channel View Park at 4460 S. Harbor Boulevard after residents complained of the subjects being loud and disturbing.
A 16-year-old passenger, who was identified as a gang member had a loaded pistol. The teen was arrested on suspicion of possessing a concealed loaded firearm in a car. The driver and another passenger were arrested on probation violations.
