SUBJECT: Passenger Arrested for Possessing Concealed P80 Handgun
SUSPECTS: Zion Holmes, 22-year-old Port Hueneme resident

On May 15th, at approximately 12:45 p.m., officers from the Oxnard Special Enforcement Unit (Gang Unit) conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of West Channel Islands Blvd., in the city of Port Hueneme. The officers had the driver and right front passenger, identified as Zion Holmes, exit the vehicle. During a pat search for weapons, Holmes was found to be in possession of a loaded 9-millimeter, Glock-style, P80 pistol with a threaded barrel. The handgun was concealed in the front waistline area of Holmes’ pants. Polymer 80 semi-automatic handguns are sold commercially as incomplete, without serial numbers, and must be further manufactured to make them into functioning firearms. Holmes was arrested for having an unregistered firearm, and for having a handgun with a threaded barrel.
