SUBJECT: Documented Gang Member / Parolee Found in Possession of Stolen Firearms

On May 15, 2025, at approximately 9:00 a.m., investigators from the Oxnard Police Department Violent Crimes Unit and K9 Unit located Sergio Contreras in the area of Hueneme Rd and Arcturus Ave. Contreras, a parolee and documented criminal street gang member, was detained while a search of his recreational vehicle was conducted.
During the search, investigators located four firearms, a replica firearm, ammunition, and an inert grenade. Three of the firearms had previously been reported stolen.
Contreras was ultimately charged with violating the conditions of his parole and multiple firearms violations.
