On April 9th 2025, at approximately 6:00 p.m., officers from the Oxnard Special Enforcement Unit (Gang Unit) and Violent Crimes Unit located Angel Cardona in the 100 blk. of Magnolia Ave. Cardona, a parolee and documented criminal street gang member, had felony warrants for evading and for absconding from parole. Cardona was on parole for a previous felony assault on a peace officer.
Due to Cardona’s lengthy and violent history, officers conducted a high risk stop and ultimately took Cardona into custody. Officers searched the vehicle Cardona was operating and located a loaded, .45 caliber, semi-automatic handgun that was previously reported stolen. Cardona was also found to be in possession of narcotics.
Cardona was ultimately charged for violating the conditions of his parole. The narcotics and firearm charges are pending further investigation.
