SUBJECT: Assault Victim Found Dead

VICTIM: Male, Hispanic, 66 years old, Oxnard Resident (Name Withheld Pending Family Notification)

On June 5, 2025, at approximately 6:30 a.m., Oxnard Police and EMS personnel were dispatched to the 2500 block of South C Street regarding a check the well-being call for an injured person.
Upon arrival, EMS and Officers located an adult victim suffering from an apparent head injury. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The Oxnard Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit has assumed responsibility for the investigation.
Anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious or has information related to this incident, please contact Detective Manny Perez at (805) 385-7719. The City of Oxnard offers a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for homicides committed within the City.
