OXNARD POLICE DEPARTMENT
DETAILS:DETAILS: On January 26, 2014 at approximately 5:31PM, the Oxnard Police Department’s Emergency Communications Center received a call of a fight in the 100 block of South C Street, Oxnard. Oxnard Police Officers and emergency medical personnel were dispatched. When officers arrived, they located the unconscious victim, identified as Alexander Ysidro Flores Ramirez. Ramirez was immediately transported to the Ventura County Medical Center for treatment. Ramirez was stabilized, but became unconscious.
Ramirez had been hospitalized since the fight. On March 5, 2014 Ramirez’s condition deteriorated and he passed away. On March 7th 2014, an autopsy was conducted by the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office. The medical examiner determined that Ramirez’s death was a homicide.
Investigators are following up on several leads and motives at this time. This is Oxnard’s fourth homicide this year. The City of Oxnard offers a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of suspect(s) in homicide cases.
