DETAILS:

On June 13, 2013, at about 10:00 am, members of the Oxnard Police Department’s Narcotics Unit served a search warrant at a warehouse in the 2200 block of Statham Boulevard in the City of Oxnard.  The search warrant was the result of a month long investigation into a suspected indoor marijuana cultivation.
During the service of the search warrant, detectives located a large concealed indoor marijuana grow operation.  Numerous ultraviolet lights, water pumps, air filters, and growing materials were found along with over 1000 marijuana plants, and 20 pounds of dried marijuana estimated to be worth more than $3.5 million. The hydroponic growing equipment was estimated to be worth $150,000.
Two persons were located at the warehouse who were directly involved in the cultivation of marijuana.  Brandyn Cowgill was arrested on suspicion of cultivating marijuana, possession of marijuana for sales, and conspiracy.  Julia Danilkevich was arrested on suspicion of cultivating marijuana and conspiracy.  Both Cowgill and Danilkevich were booked into Ventura County Jail and held on $250,000.00 bail.

This case would not have been possible if not for the several anonymous tips we received during the investigation. The Oxnard Police Department encourages anyone with information on this case to call Detective Langford at (805) 385-7638. We also encourage anyone with narcotic related information to call our Narcotic Hotline at (805) 982-7084 and leave an anonymous tip.
