INCIDENT: Homicide (ten years ago)
DATE/TIME: October 10, 2002 / 11:00 P.M.
LOCATION: 1900 block North H Street, Oxnard
VICTIM(S): Steven Anthony Lemos, Sr., 24 years, Oxnard resident
SUSPECT(S): African American male, 25-33 years of age, between 5'6" and 5'8" tall and about 190 pounds. He was wearing a black baseball cap, a black fitted sweater, and black jeans

DETAILS:
Today marks the tenth anniversary of the unsolved murder of Steven Anthony Lemos, Sr. The shooting happened on October 10, 2002 at about 11 p.m. in the 1900 block of North “H” Street in Oxnard.  Lemos was shot several times and died later during surgery. Lemos’ one year old son was with him when he was shot but was not hurt during the incident. Lemos died just two days before his 25th birthday.
 
The only information available about the suspect is as follows: African American male, 25 – 33 years of age, between 5’6” and 5’8” tall and about 190 lbs. He was wearing a black baseball cap, a black fitted sweater and black jeans. He may have been in the company of an Asian or African American female at the time of the murder.
 
The city of Oxnard offers a $10,000 Reward for information pertaining to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for this homicide.  In addition, Former Governor Davis had authorized an additional $50,000 reward, and this award is still available under Governor Jerry Brown.
