NEWS RELEASE

INCIDENT: Residential Burglary 
DATE/TIME: 09/24/12 @ 12:30 PM 
LOCATION: 1000 block Azalea Street 
VICTIM(S):  Female resident of Oxnard, name withheld 
SUSPECT(S): Suspect #1 was a black male, 30’s, black hair with braids, a pronounced scar on the left side of his face, wearing a black short sleeved shirt and plaid shorts
Suspect #2 was a black male wearing a white T-shirt 
LOSS: Jewelry and an undisclosed amount of money

DETAILS:
On 09/24/12 at approximately 1230 hours Oxnard police officers responded to the 1000 block Azalea Street reference a residential burglary in progress.
 
The victim arrived home and saw the suspect inside her residence. The victim called the police and the suspect fled. While on the phone with the police, the victim saw a second suspect inside her residence. Suspect two fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival.

Property taken was jewelry and an undisclosed amount of money.

Suspect one was described as a black male, 30’s, black hair, a pronounced scar on the left side of his face, wearing a black T-shirt, and plaid shorts. A composite sketch of suspect one has been attached.
 
Suspect two was described as a black male wearing a white T-shirt.
 
Residents are reminded to contact the Oxnard Police Department if they see suspicious persons or suspicious activity in their neighborhood.
