INCIDENT:  Criminal Threats, Dissuading a Victim, Negligent discharge of a firearm

VICTIM(S):  46 Year old Oxnard resident, name withheld
SUSPECT(S):  Sidney Johnson, 49 year old Oxnard resident

DETAILS:

On 4/19/2011 at about 11:30 AM, officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded to a call of a domestic dispute in the 1800 block of Lookout Drive. The female victim contacted the police outside her residence and advised that the suspect was armed with a small caliber handgun. She told officers that the suspect, identified as Sidney Johnson, had threatened her and discharged the gun inside of the residence.

Officers contacted the suspect via telephone and the suspect came out of the residence and was taken into custody without incident. The weapon and other evidence were located inside the residence. Nobody was injured as a result of the gunfire.

Sidney Johnson is being booked into Ventura County Jail with a $50,000.00 bail.
