Melissa Valdez is the Community Affairs Manager who develops and maintains relationships between the community, media, and the Police Department. She serves as a liaison that provides and coordinates the delivery of information through various avenues including social media.She is passionate about bringing people together through a combination of online communication and community events including Coffee with a Cop, Park, Walk, and Talk, and Community Conversations. After spending nearly a decade in Los Angeles County working for a local municipality in the City Manager’s office, she now resides in Ventura County and has enjoyed exploring the county. Melissa earned her Masters of Public Administration from California State University, Long Beach and Bachelors of Science in Public Administration from California State University, Dominguez Hills.
