DETAILS:
On January 20, 2017, 7:00 am, The Oxnard Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) arrested a male juvenile responsible for committing a series of three (3) armed robberies in the 200 block of west Pleasant Valley Road, Oxnard. In each of these robberies the juvenile suspect brandished a firearm. During a search of the juvenile’s residence a replica firearm was found.
Oxnard’s Neighborhood Policing Team along with patrol officers assigned to the area where the robberies occurred collaborated with VCU investigators to positively identify the juvenile suspect.
The juvenile is currently in custody at the Ventura County Juvenile Justice Center awaiting his hearing.
Investigators continued working this case following the arrest delaying a timely press release.
