DETAILS: On
Thursday, February 27, 2020, officers attempted to stop a silver Cadillac that
was driving at a high rate of speed on Gonzales Road near Oxnard
Boulevard. When the officers activated
their emergency lights and sirens the vehicle slowed but the driver, later
identified as Yanualia “Jenny” Anguiano, refused to pull over. Anguiano continued driving until she reached
the parking lot of Sierra Linda Elementary School at 2201 Jasmine Street.
When Anguiano was removed from her
vehicle it was discovered that she was transporting a 10-year-old juvenile in
the backseat. Anguiano was arrested for
felony evading, reckless driving, and child endangerment. The school was placed on lockdown during the
arrest.
