On April 28, 2018, at approximately 3:30 p.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department Special Enforcement Unit and K-9 Unit contacted a group of subjects in the 500 block of L Court drinking alcohol in public and disturbing the peace. One of the subjects contacted was identified as Jorge Ortega. During a pat-down search for weapons, a loaded 38 revolver was located in the pocket of Ortega. He was taken into custody for without incident.
