On June 1, 2017, at approximately 4:35P.M., officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded to the area of Courtland and Clara streets in reference to a robbery that just occurred. It was reported that the victim, a 41 year old Oxnard resident, was struck in the head with a handgun during the commission of the robbery. The suspect took cash from the victim, and also beat the victim.
The victim stated that he believed he knew who robbed him. Officers checked the area, then checked a residence for the suspect in the 5400 Block of Perkins Road. Officers located the suspect, who admitted to the robbery, and was ultimately arrested. The handgun was not located.
The victim suffered minor injuries to his face. He was treated at a local hospital.
