On December 5, 2021 at approximately 6:15 P.M. Oxnard police officers arrested Daisy Ramos, a 25-year-old Oxnard resident, for outstanding warrants. While an officer was transporting Ramos to the Ventura County Jail, Ramos was somehow able to open the rear door of the police vehicle and flee on foot. This occurred in the area of Highway 101 and Johnson Drive. Officers searched the area for Ramos but were unable to locate her.
An investigation is underway to determine how Ramos managed to escape from custody.
Ramos is not considered to be a threat to the public. Regardless, if anyone has information regarding her whereabouts, they are encouraged to contact the Oxnard Police Department.
