DETAILS:
The Oxnard Police Department received a 911 call at 4:44 a.m. from a female stating that her 29-year-old daughter had just been forced out of the residence in the 200 block of Riverpark Boulevard by her boyfriend, Jamell Taylor. Taylor had broken into residence through a window and used a screw driver as a weapon to take the victim. Officers responded to the area and continued their search until approximately 2 hours later when they located the victim near Ventura Road and Forest Park Blvd. The victim had a minor injury caused by Taylor; she was treated and released at the scene by medical personnel.
Shortly afterwards Taylor was possibly sited in the area of the 500 block of Danvers River Street. Officers set up a perimeter and searched for Taylor with the assistance of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department air and K9 units. Officers were not able to locate Taylor and the contained area search was called off at 8:19 a.m.
The Oxnard Police Department is still looking for Taylor in relation to the above incident as well as his active warrant for a parole violation. Taylor is a black male, 31 years old, 5’3, 200, and was last seen wearing a long sleeve gray shirt and black sweat pants.
