DETAILS:
On May 23, at 11:21 p.m., officers from the Special Enforcement Unit (gang unit) conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic infraction. Officers contacted the driver of the vehicle, Jose Dimas. Dimas could not provide evidence of identification and was subsequently removed from the vehicle. Officers discovered a loaded handgun concealed in the vehicle. Dimas was arrested for several charges related to firearms possession.
