DETAILS: On November 17, 2017, at 5:00 am, The Oxnard Police Department’s Special Enforcement Unit (SEU), Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) and K-9 Unit, served a search warrant in the 1900 block of Camino Del Sol, Oxnard. The search warrant was in response to a shooting that occurred November 5, 2017. The November 5th shooting, Rosales approached a family that was dropping off another family member at their home. He confronted one the occupants in the vehicle and asked the occupant “where he was from”, while displaying a handgun. Fearing for their lives, the driver quickly speeds away as Rosales shots at them several times. Fortunately, no-one was injured. During the course of the investigation, Violent Crimes Unit investigators identified Rosales as the shooter in the incident.
Violent Crimes investigators recovered two firearms during a search of Rosales home. Rosales was subsequently arrested and booked into county jail on charges of Assault with a Deadly weapon (firearm), and committing a crime in furtherance of a criminal street gang.
