DETAILS:
On the above date and time, officers from the Oxnard Police Department attempted to stop the suspect vehicle in the area of Eastwood and North “F” Streets in Oxnard for traffic violations. The vehicle failed to yield and officers pursued the vehicle throughout Oxnard. The vehicle entered the northbound 101 Freeway at Oxnard Boulevard, and exited at Johnson Drive in Ventura. The vehicle continued to flee from officers before coming to a stop in the area of Sunridge and Stork Streets in the City of Ventura. Two occupants fled from the vehicle; one subject, Marin, was quickly detained, found to be in possession of a firearm, and was arrested. Officers from the Oxnard and Ventura Police Departments searched for the additional subject who fled from the vehicle but were unable to locate that subject.
Two additional subjects remained with the vehicle. Martinez was arrested for obstructing the duties of the police officers, and the female juvenile was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
