On October 20, 2016, at about 9:10 p.m., the Oxnard Police Department responded to a call of a shooting victim in the 5500 Block of Cypress Road. When officers arrived they located the victim, a 20 year old male resident of Oxnard, in the area of the Cypress Mobile Home Park. He was suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital where he underwent surgery.
Officers were unable to find any information regarding what lead to the victim’s shooting. There were no witnesses available to provide further information.
