On March 10, 2018, at approximately 6:30 p.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department Special Enforcement Unit conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Robert Avenue and C Street. Officers arrested Hector Duran for several outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants.
Upon further investigation, officers discovered that Yovani Ramirez was on probation for sales of illegal narcotics. His search terms were invoked and officers found a large amount of packaged methamphetamine, a loaded handgun and additional items belonging to Ramirez in the vehicle. Ramirez was arrested on suspicion of narcotic sales and being a felon in possession of a loaded firearm and ammunition.
