DETAILS:
The traffic signals controlling the intersection of C Street and 9th Street are currently not functioning. Although stop signs have been placed at the intersection, officers have noted vehicles failing to stop at the intersection. Therefore, residents are advised to use an alternative route if possible or use caution when proceeding through this intersection.
The City of Oxnard Traffic Engineers are working to repair the intersection but estimate that it may take several days to return to normal functioning.
Drivers are reminded that if traffic signals are not functioning properly at a controlled intersection, they are required by law to stop at the intersection and proceed according to stop sign law.
