Disturbance at Oxnard State Beach

At 1939 hours, June 14, 2021, Oxnard Police Officers responded to a disturbance call at Oxnard State Beach, 1601 S. Harbor Blvd.  The incident was reported to involve 100 juveniles with fireworks and bottles being broken.  Responding officers were met with thrown bottles as they were surrounded by about 300 people.  Several units from both Port Hueneme PD and The Ventura County Sheriff's responded.  Two arrests were made for firearm violations.  One Oxnard officer suffered a hand injury and was transported for treatment.  No other injured parties were located at the scene.
