The Oxnard Police Department is dedicated to providing “Exceptional Service” in the community and with its online presence. Please read the descriptions below and click the links for more information on our community programs.
“EYES ON CRIME”
The “Eyes on Crime” program is designed to assist our patrol officers and investigators in locating video evidence after an incident has occurred. At times, incidents happen that need additional evidence to piece together what occurred or identify suspects. Registration gives officers an idea of where they can find that video evidence in a timely manner.
Surveillance systems, and times they can be accessed, are registered with the Oxnard Police Department. Surveillance systems can be either residential or business but must record. You may remain anonymous although the Oxnard Police Department does require a method of contact (phone, email) to register.
You can register on-line HERE or in person at the Oxnard Police Department located at 251 South “C” Street.
AXON CITIZEN
Axon Citizen is a secure and easy way to submit videos and photos from your phone to the Oxnard Police Department. Upon advising the officer you have evidence, they will in turn send you a link to safely upload the media. It is instantly added to Evidence.com and searchable. You can remain anonymous if you wish. For further, visit https://www.axon.com/products/citizen. If you need to submit evidence, contact your Beat Coordinator by calling (805) 385-7600.
NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH
The Neighborhood Watch program brings your neighborhood and the police department together to fight and prevent crime in your community. It is a voluntary, community-based organization that acts as a communication link between neighbors, neighborhoods, the community, and the police department. Click HERE for training and resources.
StoPS TEAM (Surveil to Prevent Shoplifts)
