DETAILS:
On 08/21/2010 at approximately 1853 hours officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of South “L” Street regarding an assault victim. When officers arrived they located the victim who had moderate facial injuries. The victim was transported to Saint John’s Regional Medical Center where he was treated for his injuries and is listed in stable condition.
During the course of the investigation it was revealed that the victim and suspect were roommates and had a dispute over money. The suspect fled the scene but later showed up at the police station to turn himself in. The suspect was identified as Ramiro Montes (6/5/76). He was arrested and booked at the Ventura County Jail for assault with a deadly weapon and mayhem.
