DETAILS:
On 04/17/10, at approximately 2237 hours, officers responded to a 911 call of a shooting victim in the 200 block of Chester Way. Upon arrival officers located the victim in a nearby apartment. The victim, Jaime Lopez, had sustained a single gunshot wound to his right knee.
Lopez reported that he was walking from his vehicle in the carports when he was confronted by the suspect in a black vehicle. During the confrontation, the suspect fired a single round, striking Lopez in the right knee. It is unknown at this time if this incident is gang related.
