DETAILS:
On 12-24-09 at 7:28 PM Officers responded to a call of a fight in the parking lot of Chicago Liquor located at 1930 No. Ventura Rd. Upon arrival the officers located three victims of an Assault with a Deadly Weapon and an Attempt Carjacking. One of the three victims had a cut to his face from fighting the suspect.
The victims were entering their vehicle after making a purchase at the store. The suspect came up to the victim and had a verbal confrontation, during the exchange of words the suspect pulled a knife and cut one of the three victims. The suspect then attempted to jump into the victim’s vehicle and drive away. The suspect was pulled out of the vehicle by the victims. The victims then re-entered their vehicle and drove away when they heard gunshots. It appeared that they were shot at by the suspect. The victims sustained no injuries from the gunfire. The one victim that was injured refused medical treatment by paramedics.
An investigation is continuing.
